Description

This is my first attempt to create a realistic landscape in vue and Im quite happy with the result. :) However, I dont really like the clouds, but I couldnt achieve more realistic look and also they render damn slow and I lost my patience.
So I call this finished.

C&C are most welcome!

Done in Vue, the mountains were done in World Machine, minor postwork in PS.

Enjoy!

The landscape on the bottom half looks excellent. Great detail and realistic distribution of trees and plants that many don't always get right even in Vue. The mountain is the crowning glory of the piece though, one of the best mountains I've seen in a Vue render for ages

The sky - while interesting, destroys the realism of the piece (I assume realism was the goal here) The detail in the clouds are great, but another layer of slightly different and darker clouds below these ones would have improved the sky and added more variation to it, maybe helping to break up that circular "edge" of the storm clouds a bit too. I think the colour of the clouds is more to worry about than how they look though, they seem too "blue" (maybe you have the atmosphere setting with a lot of aerial perspective or blue haze etc?) when I feel that storm clouds late in the afternoon like here would be more much more grey in the shadows than blue. The overall lighting does seem very blue actually and feels pretty cold for a Spring/Summer afternoon, maybe a little more light decay in the atmosphere to help counter that

Like I said, the landscape is perfect. Just the sky and lighting seems too "blue" for this weather and time of the day
