Description
Hello! Here is my first piece for the new year.
This is an illustration of a Pulsar named 4U 0142+61 (cute name isn't it )
I was working on this for quite long, and still its not perfect...I mean, I like it a lot, but I had a different picture in my mind
Anyway, I hope you like it.
I could write pages about how I did this But mostly I used textured brushes to paint and filters, filters, filters like Polar Coordinates, Twirl, Pinch, Blur...and such, plus I worked on many, many layers so I could edit perspective and the blend mode of each.
Done in Photoshop CS4 in approx 15-20 hours.
Layers: 137
Ohh, and full view is a must! the details are tasty 4200x2800, 300DPI.
Update: Reduced the size of the planet to 30%.
Comments and Critiques are most welcome
And some info about my seducer:
--------------------------
Pulsars are a class of supernova remnants, called neutron stars, which are incredibly dense. They have masses about 1.4 times that of the sun squeezed into bodies only 10 miles wide. The pulsar named 4U 0142+61, is 13,000 light-years away in the constellation Cassiopeia. It was once a large, bright star with a mass between 10 and 20 times that of our sun. The star probably survived for about 10 million years, until it collapsed under its own weight about 100,000 years ago and blasted apart in a supernova explosion.
