Twin Moons by esk6a Twin Moons by esk6a
Another vue render started as practicing. I just added the 2 moons and clouds later in photoshop to make it more interesting. ;)

The distant mountains where done in world machine, everything else done in vue. Postwork done in PS.

C&C are most welcome!
Thanks!

Hey i got a question about vue, does the program render the shadows automatically? Looking at this awesome piece makes me want to try it.

Of course it does! Vue has a very powerful lightning/atmosphere editor yet simple to use once you get into it. You can make very realistic lightnings with it. Also there is a ton of tutorials on the web to get you started.

Thank you glad you like it! But whats your problem with the palm tree? ;)

in my opinion the problem with the palm is that it is only have the middle of a barren plain. I think it is in an unusual place ...........

Good scene! The moons are what I imagine a "dark" surfaced moon would appear like when looking at it through the atmosphere with only the fewer lighter patches being visible. They kinda remind me of Callisto and Ganymede :) But the foreground itself is the best part, it has a very natural distribution of rocks and trees and looks very realistic. It reminds me of the Australian outback actually (even though believe it or not I haven't been, but I've seen lots of pictures )

It was kinda hard to me set up a desert scene since I never been in desert. But fortunately, theres a lot of reference pictures on the web. It was fun and challenging to make this. I might do more deserts in the future.

Really nice colors! I like both moons ... Though, too much contrast on the bigger one! I think in outer-space it would be just orange and black :hmm: and if you're realizing this then good :D
